The Hailika’as Heiltsuk Health Centre of Bella Bella, BC is
seeking a full-time Home Care Nurse/Diabetes Nurse Educator. The Home Care Nurse/Diabetes Nurse Educator will provide nursing duties
to the members of the Heiltsuk Nation. This is a unique opportunity to be a member of a multi-disciplinary community health care team
here in Bella Bella, BC.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor Degree in Nursing, including
or supplemented by training in community health nursing; or graduation from an approved diploma school of nursing plus a university
diploma in community health nursing and at least three years' experience as a community health nurse or equivalent combination of
education and experience,
· Current practicing membership in the Registered Nurses
Association of British Columbia is required,
· Experience in a supervisory/management
capacity,
· Previous Diabetes Nurse Educator experience a definite asset,
· Familiarity with First Nations culture and traditions preferred,
· Computer literacy,
· A Criminal Records Check is mandatory, and
· A valid BC Drivers License is required.

of Community Health Nurse (CHN). The successful candidate will work within the context of our Heiltsuk Maternal Child Health Program
- Haikilaxs Sasmaqvs ~ “take care of your children”.
This is a wonderful opportunity for fully a licensed and registered nurse
to work within the Heiltsuk First Nation here in Bella Bella, BC.
